So much has been discussed about the difference between traditional art and digital art. Both have advantages and disadvantages. However, it is the artist's preference on what to utilize to create an artwork. Either way, the process of creation and bring it to completion is a fulfilling journey.

Painting is one of the oldest forms of art. There is a cave painting dated 44,000 years old discovered by archeologists in Indonesia. Our ancient painters used earth pigments, dirt, or charcoal from the fire, burnt bones, and vegetables as their color palette. Cultural transitions have brought art paintings to where we are now, colors in paint tubes, or digital tools using a computer, graphic tablet, and software. Something never changed; an artist's paintings are the silent expression of ideas and emotions.

I enjoy painting...every minute spent in front of the canvas paintbrush in hand, priceless. Traditional painting has the edge over the digital image when in comes to hands-on experience. Start from a concept in your mind, you get physical as you manipulate brushstrokes to produce a work of art. With each project comes the whats, the hows and whys of creation.

On the same note, I would not dismiss a digital creation's many good features. One of them is it's easier to get started and work efficiently.

With " Brushstrokes Moments", I will be featuring original paintings, and my thoughts as I go through the process of creation.
